A copy of the list is included. Also included is a list of "Foreign books shops which Mrs. Farrand has used". The book shops are located in Paris, France; Edinburgh, Scotland; London, England; and Toronto, Canada.

Typescript letter with handwritten signature from Anna Priestley to Anne Sweeney tells her she did not have an extra printed copy of the Dumbarton Oaks poem she wrote July 29, 1942 that was published in the Washington Evening Star, September 21, 1942, so she typed a copy for Sweeney to send to Mildred Bliss. She is sending a carbon copy too if Sweeney wants to keep one. She hopes to see Sweeney this fall when the Chrysanthemums are at their best.

Copy of typescript letter probably written by Anne Sweeney to Beatrix Farrand discusses receiving Farrand's suggestions for the panels in the Catalogue House. Sweeney mentions she has not heard back from Alfred Rehder, [Arnold Arboretum] or the New York Botanical Garden about garden pictures. Anne Sweeney found out from Mr. Morrison that she has been elected secretary of the Horticultural Society. She is not sure how that happened.

She is planning to be away from Dumbaton Oaks to visit her sister who is ill. Sweeney reports Mr. Morrison's father passed away. Wayside Nurseries sent her nice catalogs, but she has not heard from Alfred Rehder, Arnold Arboretum or Hosea Waterer.

Enclosed was a carbon copy of the letter to Paul J. Sachs informing the Administrative Board of Dumbarton Oaks about the same ongoing projects. "Mr. Thacher" typed at the top of the first page of the carbon copy.
